Millbourn Ross has contributed to the publication of a handy new book for anyone in professional services looking at considering M&A.
Published by Brown Dog Books, the collaboration was the brainchild of Anne Harnetty, Managing Director of Jonson Beaumont, a leading search consultancy providing c-level business services leaders to professional services firms and Jonson Beaumont Core, which provides consulting advice to firms on merger integration.
Anne has authored the creation of ‘Mergers with the Benefit of Hindsight’.
The foundation for the book is based on deep research Anne has conducted with many Managing Partners and C-suite leaders, all who shared their experiences of M&A, highlighting best practice and the associated challenges.
Alongside David Sparkes, CEO and founder of Millbourn Ross, whose chapter highlights the benefits of a sector specialist merger broker, Anne also invited a number of industry experts to contribute chapters. The book features contributions from Peter Noyce of Menzies, Paul McCluskey of Gemstone Legal, Clive Knott of Goodman Derrick and Doug McPherson of Ten ½ Boots on areas including financial culture, planning for IT and marketing and business development.
Michael Burne, Co-founder and CEO or Carbon Law Partners and Bamboo Platform said: “The spotlight is firmly on M&A within the professional services sector. Having an easily digestible and handy guide which can be quickly referenced is very timely for many firms at this time.”
